Google has never hide that it collects and carefully save all accessible data about its users. With new Google Activity controls service you can be convinced of that fact, also look over your history, and delete all discreditable records in case of need.
Recently Google developers has updated My account service, consequently it became more convenient. Now users have possibility to not only see their history, but also delete certain records. Above all, there is a new section dedicated of voice search history.
To get access to your personal history you need to click My account and then go to Activity controls service. There you will see several sections, each of which is dedicated of specific category of collected data:
• Your searches and browsing activity
• Places you go
• Information from your devices
• Your voice searches and commands
• Videos you search for on YouTube
• Videos you watch on YouTube
If you are active Google services user, use Chrome browser for surfing and you have Android smartphone in your pocket, then you will find here many interesting information about where you go, what websites you visit, what video you watch etc. Here you also can see complete voice search history, carefully recorded by Google and presented by dates.
When you look through your Google history you will probably want to delete something. It is easy to do: you just need mark all undesirable records and click Delete button. If you want to delete history for several days or for the whole period, you can use special function at the top tool bar. And finally don’t forget that in My account settings you can also entirely forbid gathering information about you by each category.
Conception of Big Brother, who makes total shadowing and control of each person’s activity, appeared for the first time in «1984» — anti-utopian novel of George Orwell. Lately Google became more and more similar to this character. Yes, now we still can see our histories and even delete something.
