How to Get Android 6 Marshmallow Boot Animation on Any Android Device
Note : Before you proceed with the following tutorial, you need a Rooted Android device at your hands. We, at GeekViz, do not recommend you to Root your Android Device as it might not only lead to loss of data and void your Service Warranty but may also lead to unstable and below-power performance. For those who care less about all of this and already have a rooted Android device with them, you can simply follow the underlying step-by-step tutorial.
Step 1 : Download the new Android 6 Marshmallow Boot Animation by clicking here from your Android device.
Step 2 : Once done, you can now navigate to the Downloads folder on your Android device and thereafter copy the new Android 6 Marshmallow Boot Animation file (bootanimation.zip) you just downloaded by long pressing and selecting “Copy”.
Step 3 : Next up, open up the Root partition on your Android device and navigate to System>Media. Thereafter, Mount this folder as Read/Write in order to let yourself allow make changes.
Step 4 : Afterwards, rename the existing Boot Animation file (bootanimation.zip) in the Media Folder by long pressing on it and selecting “Rename”, thereafter adding “.bak” to the end of the file name, making the file name “bootanimation.zip.bak”.
Step 5 : Next up, paste the new Android 6 Marshmallow Boot Animation that you downloaded and copied earlier by selecting “Copy Here” or “Paste”.
Step 6 : Now, set permissions for this file by long pressing on it and selecting “Permissions”. Thereafter, set the “Read” permission universal and restrict the “Write” permission to only “User” and uncheck all the remaining check-boxes.
Step 7 : That’s it! Reboot and your Android Device would now boot up with the new Android 6 Marshmallow Boot Animation.
