How To Jailbreak iOS 9.0.2 on iPhone/iPad using Pangu (Tutorial)

At the unveiling of iOS 9 at WWDC 2015, what we came across was a sincere effort from Apple to evolve its operating system for iPhone/iPad. Rather than announcing fancy new changes to the UI or throwing in plethora of new gimmicky features, Apple has tried to nurture its iOS ecosystem in order to provide users with the most intuitive, complete and responsive mobile operating system. While there weren’t any groundbreaking updated or features announced, Apple still kept all of us interested with a huge list of updates viz a completely revamped search screen or the supercharged Siri and proactive assistant or the hugely popular split-screen support and picture-in-picture that are bound to make you fall in love with this update from Apple.

Consequently, Apple released the final Public version of iOS 9 in mid of September followed by an incremental update to fix ‘Slide to Upgrade’ screen bug with iOS 9.0.1 and then 9.0.2 in late September. While the previous version of iOS viz iOS 8.4 was successfully Jailbroken by the TaIG community, we now see a breakthrough from the Pangu community by coming up with a successful way to Jailbreak iOS 9.0.2 on iPhone/iPad using their Pangu 9 Tool. So then, for all those who can’t wait to jailbreak their iOS 9.0-9.0.2 running iPhone/iPad right away, we bring to you the complete step-by-step tutorial on how you can successfully Jailbreak iOS 9.0.2 on iPhone/iPad using Pangu. Following is the list of devices compatible with Pangu Jailbreak tool:

  • iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s,

  • iPad mini 1 (1st generation iPad mini), iPad mini 2 (Retina iPad mini), iPad mini 3,
  • iPod touch 5th generation,

and the following iOS versions :

  • iOS 9.0
  • iOS 9.0.1
  • iOS 9.0.2

Note 3 : Next up, you need to be sure that you are running iOS 9.0-9.0.2 on your iDevice. If you aren’t then update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 9.0-9.0.2 either by connecting your device to iTunes and checking for software updates or by manually installing iOS 9.0-9.0.2 using iTunes using following IPSW Links :

The reason we do not recommend Over-the-air (OTA) update to iOS 9.0-9.0.2 is because OTA updates do not go well with Pangu Jailbreak and thus might lead you to boot loop error. In case you had last updated to iOS 9.0-9.0.2 via OTA update, first restore your iDevice to a previous iOS version and then update to iOS 9.0-9.0.2 via the method explained above. Thereafter, restore the backup you just made in order to get all of your data back on your iDevice.

Note 4 : Make sure that you have disabled Find My iPhone(navigate Settings>iCloud>Find My iPhone) and Passcode Lock(navigate Settings>Passcode>Enter your passcode>Turn Passcode Off).

Note 5 : Disable all antivirus programs and firewalls temporarily that could prevent Pangu jailbreak from connecting to the internet.

That’s all! Well then, all set to proceed further? Now you just need to follow this detailed step-by-step tutorial.
