Step 1 : In order to let you get started with process to place App Icons anywhere on iPhone Homescreen, you first need to navigate to MAKEOVR from the Safari browser on your iPhone.

Step 2 : Once you do, you would now be presented to choose amongst 2 options whether you want to use a fresh background as you home screen wallpaper or you want one of your own images to be it.

Step 3 : If you choose to select the fresh background option, MAKEOVR would itself offer you a barrage of free wallpapers that you can choose from. All you need to do is to tap the wallpaper you like to load it in a new page, long press the ‘Tap and Hold here to Save’ and tap on ‘Save Image’. Next up, navigate to Settings>Wallpaper>Choose a New Wallpaper and set this image as your Home-screen wallpaper, with the Perspective Zoom turned OFF.

Alternatively, if you choose to set one of your own images as you home screen wallpaper, then you would need to navigate to Settings>Wallpaper>Choose a New Wallpaper and set any of your images as your home screen wallpaper with the Perspective Zoom turned OFF. Next up, you need to first enter edit mode on your iPhone’s home screen by long-pressing any of the icons, swipe over to a blank page at the last and take a screenshot of the same. Afterwards, open up Safari browser from where you left, click ‘Upload’, choose ‘Photo Library’ and select the image that you just took screenshot of.

Step 4 : Once done, open up Safari browser to continue from where you left and tap the ‘Let’s do it!’ option. Next up, what exactly you need to do is to ‘tap’ on any of the 20 square cut-outs that appear on the background you just chose as your wallpaper and hit the ‘Share’ button on the bottom taskbar and tap ‘Add to Home Screen’.

Step 5 : Once done, you would now see the cut-out you tapped and saved to your Home Screen as an icon itself. Place this icon strategically to the same place where it was cut-out from so as to let it amalgamate perfectly into the background, giving a false impression of a blank space.

  1. Man that is complicated. I wish there were an easier way to move icons wherever I want them like on android phones. Also need to be able install android-style launchers so I can move icons where I want them and create extra docks and put more than 5 items on a dock. That would make the iphone perfect.
