Mon-K company introduced encrypted portable operating system Secure-K, which works autonomously on almost any PC, because it is kept on USB drive. According to developers, this drive will allow users to protect their data, not sacrificing simplicity of usage. On its one side, Secure-K has digital keyboard, with which users can activate operating system. In addition, you do not need any additional software for using of operating system.
Secure-K will be supplied with complete set of secure applications, including chat-client, video player, instruments for IP telephony, anonymous web browser and complete set of office products. Users will also be able to synchronize with secure cloud service Mon-K for creation of backups (it can be useful for recovery of data in case of losing USB drive). Also company assured that it will soon introduce its own secure mail service.
Release of Secure-K will take place in October. Only then we will be able to test the effectiveness of new operating system on USB drive. Company will offer two types of device: for personal and for corporate usage. Buyers of first type will be able to buy device with 8, 16, 32 or 64 GB of memory. For corporate clients there will be accessible also drives with 128 and 256 GB of memory. Prices on Secure-K are unknown yet.
