Sometimes users forget their passwords from iPhone, with which they unlock their devices. To get possibility of using smartphone again, you need to take several steps. Instruction is provided for cases when you forget your password or if you see notification about deactivation of device.
If you did not make backup copy before losing the password, you will not be able to recover data from iPhone. You will need to delete all data from gadget, i.e. delete all data and settings.
Recovering using iTunes
If you synchronized your iPhone or iPad with iTunes before, you can make its restore.
Step 1: Connect your device to PC, with which you made synchronization.
Step 2: Open iTunes. If it will require password, use another PC, where you made synchronization, or restore mode.
Step 3: Wait, until iTunes synchronizes device and creates backup copy.
Step 4: After synchronization and creation of backup copy, click “Restore” [device].
Step 5: When during recovering you will see window with settings, press “Restore from iTunes copy”.
Step 6: Then select your device. Check the date of creation and size of each backup copy and select the most appropriate.
Recovering using the restore mode
If you have never made synchronization with iTunes or used function “Find iPhone” in iCloud, for recovering of your smartphone you will need to use restore mode. In that case, all the data and password from your device will be deleted.
Step 1: Connect your iPhone or iPad to PC and open iTunes.
Step 2: When your device will be connected, make the force reboot: press and hold simultaneously buttons “Sleep/Wake” and “Home”. Keep on holding, when you will see Apple logo, and wait until the screen of restore mode appears.
Step 3: When you will see options of recovering or updating, select “Restore”.
Step 4: iTunes will start booting software for device. If it takes more than 15 minutes and device will escape from restore mode, you should take steps 2 and 3 again.
Wait until process ends. After that, you can customize your device and use it.
